14 September 2004 – Mamoru Takuma
The 40-year-old mass-murderer slayed seven girls and one boy, as well as wounding another 13 children and two teachers. Takuma is said to have had a history of mental illness and consequently shown no regret for his actions.
Indeed he asserted that he wished he’d targeted a nursery as he may have been more successful in his killing spree. His case sparked controversy because he was hanged a mere four years after his crime alongside another killed who’d slain three gangsters.
