28 August 1900 – Charles Blewitt

Charles Blewitt really did blow it when he chose to bump off his wife at the turn of the 20th century.

His crime caught up with him and he was sentenced to death for killing Mary Anne Blewitt. The 33-year-old was hanged at Leeds.
