4 February 1913 – Eric Sedgewick

Girlfriends obviously got on a lot of people’s nerves in the 19th and 20th centuries, as Eric Sedgewick could have testified.

He was one of many boyfriends who were executed for getting shot of their partners over the years. He was hanged at Reading Prison for the murder of his girlfriend, Annie Wentworth Davis.
